THE BEAUTY AROUND US:
INTERPRETING THROUGH ART

NOTE FROM A STUDENT: "Jude, this comes to say how very much I enjoyed your workshop at the Forestry Center, and I think you will be pleased to know I have been putting your teaching to use. I recently purchased a good journal and have just finished my second page, with the topic being my trip to Cape Perpetua yesterday. And yes, I am liking the effect I get with the paints I purchased. This morning I painted my sketches with your book at hand for ideas on how to handle the rocks and ocean especially. The worksop day was so full with the excellent art show, and the added bonus of the John Muir prints - a very inspiring day." ~ Best wishes, Lynda

Here is a summary of classes I am teaching, both locally and other places. Registration and payment holds your place. If I cancel, you have a credit, good for rest of the term. Email me to register or for questions.

I hope you enjoy my latest encounters with birds....

CrowSketching Birds:

Get the gesture!
with Jude Siegel

August 1, 2015
Saturday 10-3

Different from the exacting details of illustration, this approach is about getting just enough on the paper. Often, less is more! We will draw live birds, specimens and photos.

geeseWe will practice some easy ways to record those birds around us in our journals, with a little background as well. A great way to add to your birding records, and you will remember more about the birds you sketch!

We will work with graphite, pen and simple watercolor. No art experience, just willingness.
